I am a Master Mason in an American Grand Lodge. I would say I understand your frustration but regretfully it seems your lodge will be on the losing end. If you've read a Traditional Observance Lodge by Bro. Cliff Porter it may help you with your problems. He was ready to hang up his apron. I'm lucky enough to live in an area that I can drive to three different grand lodges territories and demitted my from the state GL whose jurisdiction I lived to to join another one. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Our craft is local. The grand (insert body/title) cannot save any of us. In the USA there has been an outpouring lately of young Freemasons writing papers and even books laying out exactly what we are looking for. If the above documents spark an interest please let me know and I can point you in the direction of more information like them.

  8. That depends on who is asking, who they are asking, when they are asking, and how they asked. It is something that has been enforced, ignored, agreed to, and agreed not to in various situations.

Oh I know they aren't worked under UGLE. Does the GLMMM or SGCRAME have a prescribed ritual or are there many variations?

    Mark and Royal Arch

And the Passing of the Veils is worked in the Royal Arch Degree in the General Grand Chapter Ritual. It is odd how and where we place things.
  11. I am currently taking the General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons version of the Capitular Development Course. In the USA the Royal Arch Chapter confers the degrees of: Mark Master, Past Master (virtual), Most Excellent Master, and Royal Arch. I'd like to know what are the most widely used versions of degrees by your equivalent body that could say be purchased from Lewis Masonic or another retailer. For 2018 I want to focus my Masonic study on the Capitular degrees and think comparing different rituals will be beneficial. The General Grand Chapter has its own version of the ritual but locally two chapters work two different versions. Fiat Lux Chapter No. 19 works the Aldergate Ritual and Sojourner Kilwinning Chapter No. 17 works the Scottish Ritual. The ritual names I used come from our constitution and may not be the complete name of the ritual. Thank you for your assistance!

    Earliest Mark Mason

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ipXklBRV41QmhYRmZiUU1VbHc/edit This a short read called "Introduction to Capitular Masonry" from the Grand Chapter State of New York, Royal Arch Masons. There is a followup course called "The Capitular Development Course" which I am currently taking. Both of these go over the American Ritual but the history covers the degree in your neck of the woods.

    Who was Adoniram?

I am attaching two pictures from An Encyclopedia of Cryptic Masonry that I ordered from the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons International. This is from the American ritual point of view and your experiences may vary.
