  8. I think this is brilliant and well overdue Often masonic education is left to the individual mason and I am the belief that it should be a core part of what happens in our lodge meetings - the ritual element - I,P, R & Installation are important and there are many valuable lessons in the ceremonies but there is a definite need for education as well - it's great to see an initiative such as this putting it back on the agenda

  13. A sensory shed that can calm children with special needs was unveiled yesterday (June 13). When the leaders of Leverton School in Waltham Abbey realised it needed a safe place for its special needs pupils to retreat to, they were disheartened when their bids for funding were unsuccessful. That was until a grandfather of one of the pupils heard of their difficulties and pointed them in the direction of the nearby Forester Lodge. The Loughton Freemasons took the cause to their heart and set about raising £1,800 for the project, which was increased to £2,000 following a personal donation by organist Tom Kelly. 14. As already intimated, a regular GL is unlikely to adopt a lodge from another regular GL An irregular GL will no doubt take you on - but then the regular GL the lodge is part of won't really release the lodge - it's is ultimately their lodge (I use the terms regular and irregular as they are commonly understood, not as a reflection of my own opinions on the matter)
  15. Such a shame Hopefully the hall management are now taking advice from the local fire brigade on how to prevent any further such incidents?
